GOOD NEWS!!! The Chairman of the FCC has rescinded their nefarious plan to implement the “Multi-Market Study of Critical Information Needs,” or CIN, the plan to send researchers to grill reporters, editors and station owners about how they decide which stories to run. This field test was scheduled to begin this spring. and was the plan that I wrote about below. The almost universal pushback and furor from news media, legal scholars, and First Amendement proponents, forced the FCC to reverse their decision.
I personally doubt that they will forget it. They will try to find other methods, rules, and regulations to stifle free speech, but for now it is a victory for the First Amendment.
Our founding fathers in crafting the Constitution realized that to have real freedom it would be necessary to allow people to freely speak their minds, whether it be the spoken or written word, and eventually the concept of Freedom of the Press. To ensure this principle the First Amendment became a part of the Constitution allowing the United States of America to be a shining example of freedom to the rest of the world.
That is until our nation lost it’s collective mind and installed a Muslim/Socialist as president. On the day he was inaugurated, he promised he “would fundamentally transform” this country. That perhaps is one of the few things he has said that wasn’t a blatant lie.
Since the ability to speak our minds is the cornerstone of any free society, in any State, Nation or Country where there is a revolution or fundamental change, one of the first things that must be curtailed is free speech, and control of Radio Stations, Television Stations, Newspapers, Magazines, Music, Art, Films, and in the modern world, the Internet.
Barack Obama has worked diligently to stifle free speech in anyway he can. Go ==>Here<== to read some of the steps he has used, and is using to accomplish that goal.
Here is his latest proposal. Even though The FCC and others claim to be the authors of this scam, you better believe that our de-facto dictator is behind it
As Commissioner Ajit Pai explains in the Wall Street Journal:
Last May the FCC proposed an initiative to thrust the federal government into newsrooms across the country. With its “Multi-Market Study of Critical Information Needs,” or CIN, the agency plans to send researchers to grill reporters, editors and station owners about how they decide which stories to run. A field test in Columbia, S.C., is scheduled to begin this spring.
The purpose of the CIN, according to the FCC, is to ferret out information from television and radio broadcasters about “the process by which stories are selected” and how often stations cover “critical information needs,” along with “perceived station bias” and “perceived responsiveness to underserved populations.”
What the FCC Commissioner and other proponents write about this scheme, you must remember is Orwellian News speak to hide their goal of creating Orwell‘s 1984 Ministry of Truth(or Minitrue), which is responsible for propaganda and historical revisionism.
Matthew Clark writes for The American Center for Law and Justiceand warns the Obama administration plan to place government monitors in newsrooms via an FCC proposal that could turn every major news network and newspaper into little more than a state media mouthpiece.
“Every major repressive regime of the modern era has begun with an attempt to control and intimidate the press,” warns Clark, adding, “It’s hard to imagine anything more brazenly Orwellian than government monitors in newsrooms.
This proposal must be defeated in anyway possible. If not, it is just another step in reducing our country to a totalitarian state that would make Stalin blush and Hitler smile.
